Nobuko Gamo-Yamamoto
Nobuko Gamo-Yamamoto
From the late 1960’s to the early 1970’s, Japanese soprano Nobuko Gamo-Yamamoto made a small number of recordings of ‘early’ music, mostly by J.S.Bach, working in Germany with well-known conductors such as Diethard Hellmann, Helmuth Rilling and Gustav Leonhardt. Her last discoverable recording was made in 1973. The Bach Cantata website gives her date of birth as 1934. There is little else known about her.
